Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNO): The observance of Shab-e-Meraj at the revered Dargah Hazratbal on Saturday evening witnessed scenes of deep devotion, as thousands of worshippers gathered to offer special prayers and seek blessings.
Amid the steady flow of devotees offering Duhar namaz, a quiet and touching moment unfolded outside the shrine in a tent, where a trio of five-year-old boys was seen offering their brief prayers. Unmoved by the surrounding rush, the children remained absorbed in their own devotion.
According to details obtained by the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), one of the boys identified himself as Ilaf, saying he lives nearby, while the other two also said they belong to the same neighbourhood.
Ilaf said, “We live nearby.” The others giggled and added nothing more before running off to play again, their brief pause blending mischief with devotion.
Usually playful and full of energy, the trio seemed touched by the spiritual atmosphere.
The moment also drew attention as it was captured on a journalist’s mobile phone, focusing on the children who seemed unaware of the lens and continued their prayers while mischievously smiling at the camera.
The prayers were offered during the day following Shab-e-Meraj. The trio’s brief prayer added a quiet, human touch to the Dhuhr prayers, showing how even the youngest hearts felt the spirit of Shab-e-Meraj at Hazratbal—(KNO)
